Luhuo County in Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan, recently held a press briefing on progress made under the “Xianshui Jingu” brand initiative—an important step toward strengthening branding, standardization, and international reach for the county’s specialty industries. As a key international certification body and local service partner, SRS Sustainable Standards and its China partner, Shanghai Shiying Certification Services, attended the event and shared insights on the region’s ecological strengths and growth potential.
DAkkS Experts Visit Lincang, Yunnan; SRS–Shanghai Shiying Tea Certification Project Earns Strong Praise
From September 14 to 16, experts from Germany’s accreditation body DAkkS visited Lincang, Yunnan, for a three-day on-site witness assessment of the tea certification project jointly delivered by SRS Sustainable Standards and its strategic partner in China, Shanghai Shiying Certification Services. The assessment reviewed compliance, impartiality, and the professionalism of the audit process. Following the visit, the DAkkS team expressed strong satisfaction with the work carried out by both teams.

Officials from Kunming’s Guandu District recently visited Jiaweisen Technology Service (Beijing) Co., Ltd. to discuss potential collaboration aimed at supporting the upgrading of plateau specialty industries through organic certification.
European Commission Announces Additional 2023 Control Measures for Organic Products from Third Countries
Compared with the 2022 measures, the list of controlled organic products from China has been expanded to include buckwheat, soy products, and tea; peanuts have been removed; and ginger and pumpkin (seeds) remain on the list. The sampling rate for tea has also been increased to 20%.
