During her agronomy studies at the University of Hohenheim, Germany, Regina participated in government-supported research that took her to China for the first time. She was then involved in further research projects and inspection jobs in a number of countries, in the global North and South. When she later joined a large certification body, she was one of the first to implement international organic standard certification for Chinese producers. She has since worked as certifier, trainer, standard manager and coordinator for several organic and sustainability standards, before co-founding SRS in 2017, where she functions as Global Training Manager
