Swiss BioSuisse Organic Certification (applicable only in Turkey)

Bio Suisse is the leading organic agriculture association in Switzerland, with its own registered trademark "Bud". It represents a private high-end organic standard that is significantly higher than the minimum requirements stipulated by the EU Organic Regulation (EU 2018/848). It is the core admission certificate for organic products purchased by Swiss supermarkets and distribution channels.

• Full farm organic management: The entire production area must be fully implemented with organic methods. It is not allowed to have some areas organic and some conventional.
• Ecological compensation land: The farm must set aside at least 7% of the land as an ecological compensation area to maintain biodiversity;
• Transition period: The minimum complete transition period is 2 years. The transition period cannot be shortened;
• Transport ban: Certified products are prohibited from being transported by air. Priority should be given to the local supply chain;
• Processing control: The amount of additives allowed is much less than that of EU organic standards. Artificial flavors and colors are prohibited;
• Annual review: The certificate is updated once a year. A site visit and re-evaluation must be completed every year.

Applicable enterprises: Planting bases, breeding enterprises and processing enterprises that plan to export organic agricultural products and processed foods to the Swiss market; 

Product range: Fresh agricultural products, processed foods, feed, herbs, etc.

Pre-repairing and on-site inspection (with controllable preparation time for the enterprise) → Submission of inspection materials to the Swiss ICB for review within 4-6 weeks → The overall cycle is approximately 3 months; the certificate is valid for 1 year and needs to be re-inspected and renewed annually.
